FALLS CHURCH, Va.—May 12, 2016—Noblis, Inc., a leading provider of science, technology, and strategy services to the federal government, is pleased to announce an award from the Army to provide services to the National Defense Center for Energy and the Environment (NDCEE). NDCEE’s mission is to transition Environmental, Safety, Occupational Health, and Energy (ESOHE) technologies in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) to maintain readiness, meet sustainability goals, and support warfighters at home and abroad. Noblis is one of four companies selected for the contract which is an IDIQ with a value of $122.5M over five years.
Noblis has been working closely with the DoD on environmental, energy, and sustainability issues since inception 20 years ago. Under this new contract, Noblis expands its role in technology development and technology transition. Noblis has expertise in all aspects of technology management and an in-depth understanding of DoD’s acquisition and procurement processes. We have a deep understanding of the DoD end-user community needs, processes, and organizations. By seeking optimal technology insertion points, engaging end-users early, testing under operational conditions, and focusing on the barriers that slow or impede deployment from the beginning, Noblis and NDCEE can maximize the return on investment.
Amr ElSawy, Noblis’ President and Chief Executive Officer, sees the critical need for return on investment. He states, “Now more than ever, DoD end-users seek cost-effective, innovative, scalable, and readily implementable solutions that can measurably enhance DoD’s primary national security mission.”
NDCEE is a resource for all of DoD to tackle high priority ESOHE requirements. Dr. Jeffrey Marqusee, Noblis’ Program Manager for NDCEE, noted, “by focusing on the needs of end-users and moving testing out into the field to an operational environment as soon as possible our approach is designed to accelerate technology transitions at scale—not at one site or for one user but across DoD.”
